Acid-free tubes & Roll-on

Tube, spiral-wrapped (twice) with blue-grey acid-free paper (135 g/m²) in accordance with ICN 1 quality requirement and also the PAT test per ISO 18916, FSC mixed Credit. We offer these tubes with different diameters, as standard from stock in the length dimensions below. The tubes can be shortened to size or extended using a sleeve. Other sizes are available on request, subject to a minimum order.

Acid-free tubes

Spiral wound tube made of archive board in natural white (quality 01911). The  layers of the board are glued with tested, neutral, softening-agent free adhesives and are ageing-resistant in accordance with ISO 9706.

Apart from the standard sizes, production of other diameters and length (up to 10 meters max.) is possible as well.

Roll On

The Roll consists of an EPS outer jacket and a PVC core. This keeps the weight of the roll itself to a minimum, which significantly reduces the risks involved in rolling up and transporting objects. The Roll On is fully customisable. The diameters used range from 1 to 120 cm and the length from 10 to 700 cm.

Tube support

A support made of acid-free board for 'freely' archiving tubes. Maps, drawings etc. of extreme sizes are wrapped around the tube. The tube is placed on the support at both ends, allowing the object to hang freely, which prevents point load damage when the tube (with the object) is 'just' laid down.

The above products can be used to store large maps, textile collections and more. The object is wrapped around the tube and then wrapped in, for example, acid-free paper, tyvek or (unbleached) cotton and (carefully) secured with a few ribbons of twill.

If the object (around the tube) is not kept in a box, we recommend covering the object to keep it free of dust. Textile collections are best packed in tyvek sleeves with a microperforation. The Tyvek material breathes, is water- and dustproof, but also prevents (larvae of) insects from attacking the object.
