Silk tissue paper

The silk blotting paper is wood-, chlorine- and acid-free, available without optical brighteners and various grammages. Both unbuffered and buffered, available in sheets and rolls. Suitable for archiving photos, watercolours, graphics and textiles, for example, but also for covering and wrapping delicate objects. The silk blotting paper contains no optical brighteners and is PAT approved.

Buffered silk paper, offers an alkaline reserve so it is less likely to reacidify, is higher priced and can only be used in combination with a few materials. Never use buffered silk blotting paper with glass objects and silver. We also recommend using unbuffered tissue paper for most photographic materials.

Be sure to replace the silk paper when it has discoloured, turned yellow or become brittle.
